Keeping Social Impact at Heart
For the last six years, the MakeSense community and actions have grown exponentially. We jumped — literally — from a small team of people passionate about social entrepreneurship, to a worldwide movement tackling social and environmental issues.
Let’s take a quick look at some of the numbers :
- 1200 Hold-ups (MakeSense creative workshop) held in 110 cities
- 4 incubators all around the world who support 100+ social startups
- 80+ corporate & public partners we work with to solve challenges of the 21st century
That’s great. But what is the IMPACT of these numbers ?
Last spring, during our annual retreat for the MakeSense staff at Le Boucheau (France), one presentation struck everyone of us. The key idea was straight-forward.
“Guys, we know the numbers of Hold-ups organized by the MakeSense community by heart. But do we really know the impact of all the volunteers helping social entrepreneurs all over the world?”
A group of us at MakeSense set up a task force with a clear and ambitious goal : evaluate MakeSense social and environmental impact. This will help us in many ways :
- Validate that we are fully aligned with our #1 value “No Bullshit, Just Impact”
- Better our always-evolving tools and methodologies
- Strengthen our pitch to investors and partners
We partnered with (IM)PROVE, a leading french social impact evaluation startup. Big kuddos to them. Listen to Mélanie, founder.
That’s why we need you!
In everything we do at MakeSense, we start small, see the results, optimize and do it again (#prototype). The same goes for our social impact evaluation. We made the choice of focusing on what is the very heart of what we do: gangsters and social entrepreneurs. Do we bring them professional and personal value? Do we help them with the development of their social and environmental projects ?
Now, your turn to play with this 5 minutes questionnaires!
The whole MakeSense community and the full-timer impact team thank you very much for your time and help and promise to release the results this coming spring.
