Help your environment: act locally!
How YOU as citizens can boost and spread innovative solutions to the Waste & climate challenges of your cities

(Pour l’article en français, c’est par ici)
COP21 has just close up. World governments leaders have come to an agreement. However the commitments might not be enough to prevent big consequences of climate change, and the leaders have not precised how to reach the objectives!
So the action of citizens and entrepreneurs is critical to make the change happen!

Since October, with Future of Waste, there has been 30 workshops about Waste&Climate, gathering about 450 people to accelerate local solutions in Paris, Bruxelles, Dakar, China…!
Now we need to SPREAD THE MOVEMENT even further and accelerate local solutions to waste challenges and climate change in every city and village in the world!
How to start the citizen movement in your city?
Find an entrepreneur on beta.makesense.org/futureofwaste or find one in your city, and then organize a Hold-Up (a Hold-Up is a creativity workshop where volunteers bring ideas to help an entrepreneur build or scale-up its model and grow its impact!)
And if you want to start a bigger thing than a Hold-Up, do like we did last weekend in Loos-en-Gohelle — we gathered 200 citizens to support all the local projects in the city with a team of volunteers!
Contact antoine@makesense.org if you want help to kickstart waste mobilization in your city :)
We know projects who have the capacity to make a big impact in the Waste & climate sector, and which are looking for some support!

Last month the amazing Paul and Thibaud facilitated 3 workshops to help La Ruche Qui Dit Oui in Belgium to collect organic waste and make compost out of it. Potential impact? If this prototype of collecting organic waste in Food assemblies came to be improved and replicated, more thant 1600 tons of organic waste could be used to fertilize our soils instead of heating the atmosphere!
